MTS wins Uxbridge College Contract
MTS won the contract to equip the refurbishment project at Uxbridge College in June 2007.
The Hayes site provides Hair & Beauty training for local students and the scheme involves working with specialist
companies to fit out the new salons with all the latest equipment. The challenge is to create a state of the art facility
within a very limited budget and to make sure the equipment provides a commercial feel within the learning environment.
This involved some tough negotiation on price and achieving some income generation for the disposal of the old equipment.
Working closely with the interior designers from Nightingale Architects and the college staff,
MTS has provided the expertise and support to ensure that the facility is completed to meet all their needs and ready
for the students to return in September.
In addition to this, MTS was commissioned to oversee the refit of the learning and resource centre
at the Park Road campus of the college. This entails working closely with the selected furniture supplier to give a modern
and exciting feel to the open learning area.
